One for One: TOMS Shoes

When fashion meets caring you get TOMS Shoes. This company was started by Blake Mycoskie in 2006 out of Arlington,  TX in an effort to materialize the Shoes for Tomorrow Project. The company’s name is derived from the word “tomorrow.” For every pair of shoes purchased from TOMS Shoes, the non-profit subsidiary called Friends of Toms donates a pair of shoes to a child in need.

The “one for one” movement has become extremely popular along with the classic style of the canvas and cotton shoes. Mycoskie has stated that he was inspired to start this company after he made a trip to Argentina and noticed that many children were barefoot. Apart from the strong desire to provide these children with a basic necessity, Mycoskie recognized the importance of shoes in preventing injury and the soil-transmitted diseases that are unfortunately spreading in these regions.

Check out TOMS Shoes and see the new designs for this season. At least this time you will not have to feel guilty when you buy a pair of shoes!

Sincerely, Saba
