When I heard that Charlotte Tilbury launched her Hot Lips 2 Collection with 11 new lipstick shades, it didn’t take long for me to get online and explore the new lippies. This collection comes in 2 signature finishes: Matte Revolution and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula (which contains lipstick tree extract to hydrate and condition your lips and 3-D glowing pigments to give the illusion of plumper lips). I ended up getting the In Love with Olivia shade ($37) because it was different from my other CT lipsticks and it is named for one of my favorite style icons- Olivia Palermo.
Packaging: The packaging of these lipsticks is a departure from the usual signature CT lipsticks in 2 ways: they are refillable (refills are $25) and of course the new artistic golden cases. In Love with Olivia has a beautiful art deco pattern that reminds me of Old Hollywood. These lipsticks look and feel luxe in your hand, the lid clasps on nicely with a click and they look gorgeous on display. It’s nice that they are refillable because you don’t have to spend the whole amount again when you run out or you also have the option to insert a refill of one of the other colors you want to try into the case.
Formula: In Love with Olivia is a K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula so it has a creamy, slightly glossy finish. The lipstick applies smoothly and evenly and feels hydrating and comfortable on the lips. It wears nicely for a few hours before requiring any touch-ups.
Color: I’d describe In Love with Olivia as a light-to-medium pink with a coral undertone. It’s a beautiful shade for the summer and is reminiscent of Penelope Pink, but slightly deeper.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. In Love with Olivia is a beautiful pink-coral shade and the formula is wonderful. They are a bit pricey at $37, but the fact that they are refillable is nice. The packaging is chic and artistic and looks lovely sitting on your vanity. Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are some of my favorites, and this collection is a nice addition to the original shades.
