Fall is well underway and, with it, a plethora of fashion designers touting the latest color palette of the season. Instead of flipping through an endless stack of fashion magazines for a glimpse into this season’s spectrum, look no further than the world-renowned company: Pantone. The guru of colors, Pantone is the official authority on color. According to their website, since 1963, Pantone’s creator – Lawrence Herbert – created a system of “identifying, matching, and communicating colors to solve the problems associated with producing accurate color matches in the graphic arts communities.” Since then, Pantone has provided official color reports for every spring and fall fashion reports. This year’s official fall color spectrum is as follows: bamboo, emberglow, honeysuckle, phlox, cedar, deep teal, coffee liqueur, nougat, orchid hush, and quarry.
