Sarah Michelle Gellar is back. Famous for her role as Buffy Summers on the hit show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gellar is now the lead role on the new CW drama, Ringer. Gellar plays twin sisters: Bridget, a recovering addict on the run from the mob after witnessing a murder, and Siobhan, a wealthy socialite with a seemingly perfect life. Ringer portrays a different world from the vampires and demons of Buffy, but it comes with its own kind of darkness. While Bridget may not be the tough, go-getter that Buffy was, it is obvious that under her self-doubting shell, she has some strength and spirit. Gellar finds the concept of identical twins a little “creepy,” but she is happy to have found a strong role on a “female-driven” show. Ringer is aiming for the neo-noir thriller category and has seen strong viewer numbers so far. See the preview for the show below!
