Tarte Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette

It’s convenient to have some pieces in your makeup collection that are easy to travel with. Of course, it isn’t always easy to find your favorite products in a travel friendly size or case, so when I saw this Tarte Hamptons Weekender 3-in-1 palette, I was excited to try it out. It retails for $19 at Ulta and Sephora and contains a highlighter, blush and bronzer. It’s also a great size to travel with or keep in your handbag.

Packaging: Light and convenient case that is a little bigger than the size of a credit card. It has a nice sized mirror on the inside cover. Was great to take along because it contains 3 products in 1 and it didn’t break during travel.

Highlighter (Beach Getaway): a beautiful, peachy-gold shade that adds a nice glow to your face without looking overdone. Applies smoothly and blends easily.

Matte Blush (Summer House): gorgeous, tawny-rose color with a mauve undertone. Very pigmented so apply with a light hand and build up if needed. It looks gorgeous with a summer tan and would work with a lot of skin tones. My only complaint is that it took some work to blend out because it clung to my foundation. I have other Tarte blushes and never had that problem before (maybe just the foundation I was wearing?)

Matte Bronzer (Farmer’s Market): I usually don’t wear bronzer/contour products that often so I admit that I wasn’t expecting much from this product. However, I ended up liking this bronzer so much that it turned out to be my favorite part of this palette! This is a cool-toned bronzer (so no artificial-looking orange undertones, which is what I don’t like in most bronzers). It may not look like much in the pan, but this bronzer is very pigmented, looks natural, can easily be built up, blends beautifully, and adds warmth and dimension to your face. Can you tell that I like this bronzer? I wish Tarte carried it in a full-size! If you know of a similar shade, please let me know in the comments.

Overall, the Tarte Hamptons Weekender is a wonderful on-the-go palette that is easy to travel with or keep in your handbag. I even used this on my eyes and it worked well and stayed in place all day. The colors are very versatile and pigmented and the mirror is really helpful. I’m surprised by how much use I got out of this palette, and at $19 it’s a great value for 3 products. It gives you a beautiful sun-kissed glow that makes you look like you just got back from a day at the beach.
